a season of change
Fall is most definitely my favorite season. I believe it is the season with the most significant change. As we enter, the leaves on the trees are still fresh and green, the days long, and the grass dry. To start off, I’m 22 now. I thought I’d be more upset about this than I actually am but I’m just another year more lived, another year wiser. I don’t live on campus anymore which has kind of disconnected me a bit from campus life. This is good for me though…I think. I don’t want to be too attached to the school I’m about to leave. I spend Mondays and Fridays interning at Sony Pictures for their Television Production department now and I think I’ve started to discover my niche. At first I felt sort of awkward walking around the studio almost as if I had snuck on and someone would find me out. However, now I feel as though I belong there and I really enjoy what I do so hopefully I can turn it into something fruitful after I graduate in May. I think all the time about how last time this year I was spending the weekend in France and Switzerland for my 21st and how I thought I would never ever be able to leave Europe because of how happy I was. Now, I’m equally as happy with where I am and what I’m doing. When I was younger I couldn’t handle change and would attempt to avoid it or stop it at any cost. However now, I accept it welcomingly because I never know exactly what it will bring. It’s quite exciting actually.
